About

A.C. RUSSELL is a New York City based producer, director, actress, and screenwriter. After being in the acting business for 20 years Off-Broadway, in various commercials and independent films, she decided to create her own magic and has since produced, starred in, directed and/or written over a dozen short films.

Her most recent short Anastasis premiered at CamerImage in the 2024 Talent Demo, and has an intended film festival run in 2025. Her award winning short films, An Air About Her and The Amiss Advice of Anna Lou, have made their rounds in film festivals across the globe, receiving nominations and awards for Best Short Film, Best Actress and Best Women Empowerment Short.

Anna creates visually dynamic films featuring flawed female protagonists and has recently enjoyed exploring atypical narratives and psychedelic representations of depression.
